News from the Treasurer’s Office

The 2024 Personal Property and Real Estate tax tickets have not been mailed out. At the Town Council meeting held on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, the Town Council approved extending the due date to March 5, 2025. There have been delays beyond the Town’s control, but we are diligently working to get the tickets out as soon as possible.

Citizens can make prepayments for Real Estate taxes throughout the year. The Treasurer’s Office new software system doesn’t match up Personal Property prepayments the same way as the old system, so we aren’t accepting Personal Property prepayments until that issue is resolved.

Also, the online payments option has changed. The Town has partnered with Edmunds GovTech to offer online payments for tax and utility billing.  A PIN Number will be required to make a utility payment or Personal Property tax payment. The PIN Number can be found on your utility bill and Personal Property tax ticket. Please visit the Town’s website at www.wytheville.org/online-payments to utilize the link for the new payment portal.

News Release

The Town of Wytheville’s Sanitary Sewer Inflow and Infiltration Rehabilitation Project is beginning. Citizens can expect to see an increase in utility marks in and around property lines, road rights-of-way, alleyways and through existing utility easements. Citizens may also see large trucks and equipment performing inspections, cleaning and making repairs in these areas over the next six (6) to seven (7) months. If you have any questions, please contact Director of Public Utilities and Engineering Billy Anderson at (276) 223-3342 or via email at billy.anderson@wytheville.org.
