Refuse Collection

Due to the Election Day holiday, the refuse collection in the Town of Wytheville for Tuesday, November 2, 2021, will be made on Wednesday, November 3, 2021. The normal collection scheduled for Wednesday, November 3, 2021, will be made on that day.
The Town of Wytheville’s Recycling Center located at 1025 South Third Street will not have an attendant on duty on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, due to the Election Day holiday. The attendant will return to assist citizens on Wednesday, November 3, 2021.  Please note that when an attendant is not on duty, the Recycling Center's gates are closed, and items cannot be dropped off.

Street Closing


The Town of Wytheville will have the three lanes on Cassell Road entering onto East Main Street closed to repair a water line on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, beginning at 8:00 A.M.  Traffic will be unable to exit Cassell Road onto East Main Street, but traffic can enter onto Cassell Road from East Main Street.  Please use alternate routes for this area and use caution traveling in the vicinity.  The water will be off in the area and Town personnel have tried to contact all the businesses/residents possibly affected.  The Town apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
